Hi Travisevian,

...
Hi Travisevian,

I am sure Pat Robertson didn't mean to degrade any autistic children.

All he is saying is that MSG will cause brain damage in small children. Independent, non-industry sponsored research backs up this claim.

The brain damage (and a lowered IQ) will show up by the time they turn around 10 years old. Then it becomes clear that the child is unable do complex thinking and reasoning.

Autism is obviously something completely different and we should not confuse the two!

A visual aid of the ...
A visual aid of the detrimental effects of monosodium glutamate...Pat Robertson ineloquently represents his lack of education and exudes the epitome of ignorance by referring to a theoretical mentally disabled 10 year old child as "stupid". As someone with a severely autistic brother, I find this to be absolutely atrocious. What is wrong with this man?

Chinese and Japanese letters and/or symbols probably look very much alike for most Western people.

That package of MSG ...
That package of MSG is not written in Chinese. It is written in Japanese. In fact, though the Chinese are known for it, it was the Japanese who invented and promoted it around the world. Please keep the history straight.
